I wanna goooo where all the hipstas knoooow my nammmme.  Doo doooo doo do do dooo!
Owned by the same guys as the Imperial, this hip new 'dive' bar in Ferndale is a crowd pleaser.  These guys are bringin' a bit of flavor to Woodward and 9.  All restaurants in Ferndale are fairly Ferndale friendly to anyone and anything, but this restaurant is going for the that 70's upscale punk feel.  So what does that mean?  Throw on your best dark skinnies and the nicest scarf you have!  If you have a tat sleeve you'll fit right in.
The bartenders are nice, mix fast, and attend to your needs whether it's a quick drink or some random conversation it doesn't ever seem boring at the bar.  While you sit sipping your $8 craft cocktail (The Stella is my fave) you can enjoy the handpicked vinyl selection.  There are only certain artists they play to keep that upscale 'dive' bar feeling flowing all night.

The food fare runs small.  PH crafts speciality sliders like Green Dot Stables, but with a smaller menu.  Some of the food faves:  brisket and egg (formerly known as the pastrami), green onion tempura, both types of deviled eggs, PH BLT, homemade chips and aioli, and the fried chicken sandwich). The only thing that would make this place better would be if they had fries (because fries make everything better -obvs).  The theme of the menu would primarily be a low end American New, but then PH throws in some kimchi and cotton candy and that hypothesis turns to sh*t.
Watch the bill ladies and gentlemen.  You'll see 3 bucks for a sandwich, but you'd be surprised how fast it all adds up with drinks at the end of the night.  The sandwiches, snacks, and desserts are 3 bucks for a reason… you need to order a few things in order to create an "American Meal". This is a place to stop off for a drink in the after hours or to start off at the beginning of the night.  It's a few buildings before Rosie O' Gradys.  If you are coming in from the back look for the "stars" because it's not labeled.  This is a favorite of the moment… until the guys open up a new restaurant, which I hear is coming soon.
