This place is not a five star restaurant. I wouldn't even call it a restaurant. It would be more like a stand except you can actually walk a couple steps inside and sit in some sticky booths and look at a collection of stuffed animals and dolls. lol
Even though the counters were sticky, the walls were greasy and the service was semi-ok...this place was still awesome. They had sandwiches and hot dogs, but I specifically came here for the Chicago Style Hot dogs. This place did them right. I could care less if I paid almost three bucks for one. They were that good. Also, any place that gives you an option of a half and half basket (waffle fries & onion rings or if they were french fries the "love basket") is always good in my book. If you got a small it was a baby mound and if you order "the boat" there was no way you could eat them all. I drive by every time I'm around the South U with the hopes that they will one day reopen... But then when I see the covered windows my heart breaks all over again =) heh. The only other place that I found that is relatively close that makes Chi-dogs is Hippos in R.O. They just don't do it justice.
