So last summer I randomly stopped in to Haab's on my way back from EMU. I've always seen it and I guess I just figured it was like a nice old bar type place. Well, it's true they have a bar, but as soon as I sat down I realized that I was the only person in the room under 55 (besides the wait staff). Every time I go this is how it is. It could just be I go at...early times? Regardless, whenever I go I have to describe the place to the person I'm going with as the "Upscale Big Boy".
This is not bad. Their food is pretty decent. I've only had their grilled turkey club and their fried chicken. Both were good. However, the only reason I go now is because of their Butternut Squash soup. It's delicious. The first time I went to Haabs the waiter recommended it to me and now I'm hooked. It's seasonal. They start having it in September and it's only served on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's good. Trust me. If you don't like soups... well... try it anyway because it's good. *I had tons of photos for Haabs, but am unsure of where they went. Get the fried chicken and the butternut squash soup.
