Red Fox Pub, the new Memphis Smoke. I think this is a good Friday evening, after work hangout. Most everyone is pleased with their food, beer, and wine. Their happy hour app deals are decent. Half off of some of their popular menu items like the french dip and fish and chips, etc.
The things that I think are really exceptional here are their french dip and their fish tacos. The french dip is warm, ,meat tender, and perfectly slathered with melted cheese. The tacos are relatively new on the menu and they are a little bit spicy with a citrus flavor. But what really made the tacos stand out are the home-made tortillas. They probably come from downstairs (Cantina Diablos), but they go well with their new taco option. Good job on that one RF.
As for the service, it may be just me, but every time I go there seems to be only one waiter on the floor. For a party of 15+ for an after work crew, they just don't have enough people working that shift. Our drinks are empty for a good amount of time, food orders don't get taken promptly and if you are in need of hydration you may want to go to the bathroom sink and stick your head under it - you'll get water faster. This could be because of the time of day and shift over in staff.
Their outdoor seating is lovely so that somehow makes me forget about their slow service. Meh. I'll be back. Not every week, but at least once every couple of months.
