I’ll start with the positives: Creative pizza, delicious blends of flavors and damn good gluten free crust. One wouldn't think this would be a place located in Frankfort, MI, but it is. It's really quite a hip setup with a laid back feel. That laid back, beach clothes attire does pair with up north Michigan, but I think this place would rock it out in the metro-Detroit area. Stormcloud is a great place to pop by right off the beach with your family, or on a Friday evening for a drink with friends. Michigan beers, cocktails and wines pair with the simple but flavorful menu. Though I didn’t get their bacon n’ chive popcorn, I love that it’s on the menu.

The first time I went to Georgina’s I felt that rare, amazed rush of a perfect meal, and have been anticipating my return for the entire time I was away from Traverse City. There are many taco joints, and a few great Latin joints around me- but Georgina’s was created to be unique and that shows in its “Latin/ Asian fusion” description and in the rave reviews it received on Yelp. They have joined the fusion bandwagon and are putting their own twist on Latin-Asian Fusion and giving you that 'hook' that will bring you back. It's clear by looking at their menu that they are working hard at providing you with a unique food experience that will tickle your palette and make you crave them weeks after.
Zoyo is a relatively new yogurt franchise that popped up in Troy. The red headed step child to the awesomely delicious Pinkberry. Zoyo brings a little somethin' somethin' to the area of fast food and corporate buildings. A nice little (or large snack) that could be breakfast or dessert. They have a variety of choices from the original tart to more customer favorites like salted caramel. Don't overload too much because it'll cost you. You aren't quite sure how you get charged exaaactly but you are surprised everytime you check out. You pay by weight and not the cup. The first time I went it was a little over ten bucks! Ouch... For a burger sure... For fruit and yogurt? Ehhh. They have a smorgasbord of toppings such as fresh fruit, little juice orbs, chocolate varieties and nuts. It can be as healthy or as unhealthy as you want! The setup is kind of cool with a garage door type opening that let's everyone know they are open for business. However, I'm always confused on who actually works there. If I don't see someone standing behind the register it looks like a bunch of teenagers hanging out. A nice substitute when Pinkberry isn't around. If you're in Ann Arbor stop off at the Briarwood mall and get yourself a small yogurt cup. Whatever you can stuff in the cup is yours for a flat rate and they have more fruit options like kiwi, mangos and blood oranges!
All of the hype I heard about this place before coming was correct. It’s basically the next best thing to being in Italy. They really have their spice, flavor and texture combos down perfectly, and it’s even possible to enjoy this place on a budget. In a world where ‘Sicilian style thin crust pizza’ is everywhere and it usually falls short in my opinion, Mani Osteria made me a convert just when I was about to swear it off. Chewy, crusty and smoky crust… oozing and browned artisanal cheeses and varied ingredients make the mark (try the burrata pizza!)
